Lisa Veregin
ART. FASHION. DESIGN. DIRECTION.
Projects
Fashion Design
Through my visual arts degree, continuing studies at George Brown College, mentorship from Daniels Launchpad, self-teaching and exploration, and professional work experienced I have established my practice as a fashion designer. I specialize in design direction, textile and graphic design, sourcing materials, trend research, illustration, and storytelling.
My Higher Frequency
Design, Direction, Branding.
Born in 2019, My Higher Frequency is a passion project of an ethical and sustainable clothing line. The collection features my own original textile designs. The company was brought to life under my direction, web design and brand identity. I am continuing to develop My Higher Frequency as a sustainable underwear brand, launching Fall 2022.
Coniunctio
UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO THESIS
This series of paintings explores the intersections of the body and sensuality with nature.
To Reconcile
Video Art
How do we heal from trauma, and reconcile with our past? This video explores the process of healing a broken psyche, and re-integrating with the Self.
Psychedelic Landscapes
Poster Design
Through experimental photo manipulation, I created a series of art prints that reveal the psychedelic energy embedded in nature.
Longing to Belong
Where do we belong? During my time as an artist-in-residence at the Ou Gallery in Duncan, BC, I use painting to explore questions on identity and belonging.
Awakening
ARTIST RESIDENCY
The elements of fire, earth, water and air manifest together as sand. During this residency on the Toronto Island at Gibraltar Point, I explored the nature and spirit of the elements around me.
Bio
No matter the project, whether I am designing a skirt, directing a photoshoot, modelling, curating social media, designing a website, or finishing a painting, I always approach my work with a playful sense of creativity. I am an artist and designer at heart, with an eye for aesthetics. I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2018, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts and a specialist in Visual Studies. Since then, I have established a multi-disciplinary practice exploring the intersections of fashion and art. I have participated in several art shows, exhibits, and artist residencies. I have received mentorship and training from leading Canadian artists and designers. My artwork has been purchased by collectors all over the world. In 2019 I started my fashion line and ecommerce shop, My Higher Frequency, which continues to be my current passion project.

I have developed skills in painting, Photoshop, photography, artistic direction, graphic design, video, illustration, and web design. I love working across different disciplines, and finding their intersections. My eye for art and design stems from a love of history, culture, fashion, storytelling, nature, and metaphysics. I believe art and design gives us a deep sense of purpose and inspiration that simply cannot be found in the mundane world, and this is why I am driven to create.
