Awakening was an experience in reuniting with nature, the elements, and spirit. This is where I created paintings out of sand, as a reminder of how the elements converge into one. The earth is always shifting; the sand is blown away in the wind, lost in the waves, and reborn again in the flames. Sand is where the elements truly become one. The grains of sand make glass, rainbows.
